You use to tell me
I never knew how easy it was to say that
But so hard it would be
When the time came
To actually do that
But I think I understand it now
And maybe I should have heard it
And understood it long ago
Because it would have made things a lot easier
I'll start today or tomorrow if I have to

I love the one liners... sometimes I think they could put the rest of the poem/thought in an entire different direction.
